Tailgate Recipes

This page is dedicated to anyone who is interested in posting a recipe from any of the tailgates.  Simply email The Goose at WAClaxGoose@gmail.com, and we will be happy to post your favorite recipes.  Now you can enjoy your favorite tailgating foods even when you’re not at the tailgate!

Lisa Clarke’s Simple and Delicious Chocolate Pretzel Pecan

Pretzel snaps
Rolos
Pecans
Place Rolos on pretzels and put in oven (approx 3-5 minutes while warming up to 350).
Pullout of oven when Rolo is warm.
Place pecan on top and push down.
Let sit.
Enjoy!

Lauren Baur’s Peanut Butter and Chocolate Napoleans

1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup whipping cream, whipped
2 boxes Nabisco famous chocolate wafers

Beat first 4 ingredients in a large bowl with electric mixer; fold in whipped cream.
Pipe or spoon mixture onto chocolate wafers. Top with chocolate wafer and pipe small
amount of mixture on top.
Refrigerate overnight.

Enjoy!!

Amy Perlow’s Asian Coleslaw

2 Packages of Beef Flavor Ramen Noodles
2 Packs of Coleslaw Mix
1 Cup Sunflower Seeds
1/2 Cup Slivered Almonds
1/2 Bunch of Scallions chopped
1/2 Cup Craisens
Mix all of the above together and break up noodles into small pieces and add to salad. Make dressing.

Dressing:
1/2 Cup Canola Oil
1/3 Cup white Vinegar
1/2 Cup Sugar
2 beef flavor packets
Salt & pepper
Warm on the stove until sugar melts and pour over salad . Mix well and enjoy.

Sue Cecere’s Black bean and corn salad
3 cans drained black beans
1 bag frozen shoe peg white corn
1 sweet onion, chopped
Minced garlic to taste(I usually use 3 large cloves)
1-2 jalapenos(to taste), minced
1 large red pepper, chopped
Cilantro to taste, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
The juice of 2-3 limes(depending on size and whether when taste tested you can taste the lime)
2 Avocados cut into 1/2″ cubes
Mix all ingredients together – add lime juice followed by salt and pepper.  Taste test at that point for right balance of lime and salt.
Fold in avocados at the end.
Serve by itself or with “Scoops” tortilla chips.

    Great idea, I loved the corn and bean salad. I also enjoyed the salad at the end of the table by the cake-very good. Love to have that recipe.
