Former Shoremen Face-Off on Kibler Field!
April 1st, 2010 · Uncategorized
This past Sunday, March 28th, The Episcopal Academy Churchmen of Newtown Square, PA and The Bullis School Bulldogs of Potomac, MD faced off on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium. These two prominent high school lacrosse programs are coached by former Washington College standouts Bob Pollicino (Bullis) and Will Gibbs (Episcopal). Pollicino is a 1999 graduate of WC and played attack for the 1998 National Championship team and is currently the Head Coach of The Bullis School. Will Gibbs was also a member of the 1998 National Championship team as a long stick midfielder for the Shoremen. Gibbs graduated in 2000 from Washington College and is now the Defensive Coordinator for the Churchmen. Gibbs and Episcopal Academy defeated Pollicino and Bullis 9-7. The game Sunday continued a four-year tradition of former Shoremen bringing their current High School squads back to the new Kibler Field. Other alum that have participated include Andy Taibl (St. Stephen’s St. Agnes) and WC Hall of Fame members Bob Shriver (Boys’ Latin) and John Nostrant (The Haverford School).
Below are some photos from Sundays game.
